I have my screen saver set for Word of the Day. Sometimes it has words like katzenjammer (if you have a katzenjammer you have a hang over). But sometimes I think God uses it to teach me and remind me. One of today’s words did just that.

heedless

I have been trying to figure out the best way to connect with God, the best way to stay focused on him, the best way to live a life that brings God praise. This is word is sticking with me. Not because I think we need to be careless but because we need to seek God with reckless abandon…we need to be heedless in our pursuit of him. Nothing should stand in our way! Does that mean that we shirk our responsibilities…I don’t think so. But it means we shape every aspect of our lives so that it connects us with God and that God is honored by every single aspect. We run after God heedlessly in our every day lives. God becomes our one desire, our one passion that shapes, molds, and fills our everyday.
